This eCourse will ensure employers, supervisors, and health & safety representatives have an awareness of the requirements to carry out investigations into incidents in the workplace.
It will help participants be prepared with a policy, team, and investigation kit. Specifically, this course will make learners aware of the how to conduct inspections, including how to assess the accident scene, collect evidence and interview witnesses.
It will also cover conducting an analysis, reporting, and following up after an incident. The investigation of accidents and incidents is a core activity within a functional health and safety program.
It is also a key requirement in the Health and Safety Excellence Program (HSEp). When an investigation is done well, it helps a company to identify and address the deficiencies that contributed to the incident and prevent costly recurrences in the future.
